Karina Hollingsworth is a multimedia journalist at KTXS News.
Country living isn’t anything new to her. She was born in Dodson, La and raised in Alexandria, La. She was even chased by a bull once.
Karina received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Texas Southern University in 2021 and is currently working on her master’s degree.
While at TSU Karina perfected her craft while working as an MMJ at KTSU2 News. Karina’s most memorable moment while working at KTSU2 News is covering the Astroworld tragedy because that is the moment, she feels she became a professional journalist.
She interned at KPRC2 News in Houston, TX where several of her news packages aired on TV.
Karina used to get in trouble for talking too much in class, so she decided to turn it into a career.
Karina is a proud mother of a Make a Wish Kid who had her wish granted in 2019 to go to Disney World.
In her spare time Karina loves sipping Iced Caramel Macchiatos from Starbucks, doing makeup, dancing to Beyonce, posting pictures on social media and spending time with her two kids.
